Ben has been a part of the Pole Creek staff since October of 2013. He began as the Associate Pastor to Single Adults where he led both the college age and older singles. January 10, 2016, he became Pole Creek’s Executive Pastor where he led in an administrative and teaching role. On January 1, 2021, Ben assumed position of Lead Pastor at the departure of Pastor Dennis Thurman. 

Ben is a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible College where he earned his Associate of Arts degree in Religion/Christian Ministries. He is also a graduate of Spurgeon College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Ministry. Ben, his lovely wife Hannah and their four children, Charlotte, Henry, Maggie and Samuel, are all natives of the Candler, NC area. They are proud to call Candler home and even prouder to be a part of what God is doing at Pole Creek.
